Hopkins Marine Station is the leader in research related to the ocean and a world leader in shark conservation. Dr. Barbara Block uses electronic tags to track the migration of sharks off the coast of California. 

Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute is a non profit organization dedicated to ocean research, exploration, and education. WHOI investigates a wide range of topics such as climate change, ships, underwater vehicles, marine life, and many more. They strive to answer the most pressing questions regarding the ocean and educate others on issues regarding our oceans. 

 Shark Research Institute is the first shark conservation organization founded in the US. They research, protect, and educate through infield research on sharks behavior and have greatly contributed to our current knowledge on sharks.  

The Atlantic Shark Institute focuses on researching ways to guarantee the survival and sustainability of sharks in the northwest Atlantic. They research species such as the shortfin mako, blue, spinner, common thresher, blacktip, and great white to help promote and educate on how we can ensure the survival of these species.
